DRY POWDER EXTINGUISHERS

A dry powder extinguisher is a firefighting device that discharges a dry chemical powder designed to smother a fire by interrupting the chemical combustion reaction.

Versatile and highly effective, it can be used against several types of fire:

Class A: solid materials (wood, paper, textiles)
Class B: flammable liquids (petrol, solvents…)
Class C: gases (butane, propane, methane…)

Certain specific powders (ABC, BC…) provide broader coverage depending on the risk.

The dry powder extinguisher is widely used in industrial environments, vehicles, warehouses, car parks and any location presenting a mixed fire risk. It is valued for its immediate responsiveness, its effectiveness outdoors and its resistance to low temperatures.

Steel body with anti-corrosion paint finish, pressure gauge, flexible or rigid discharge hose depending on the model, ergonomic handle with trigger lever, wall-mounted or mobile bracket (wheels for larger models), integrated safety valve

Instructions for use

Pull the safety pin, aim the hose at the base of the flames, squeeze the handle to release the powder, sweep from side to side to smother the fire

Safety advice

Do not use in confined spaces, ventilate the area after use, avoid direct contact with the eyes or mouth, check the pressure gauge regularly, do not expose to temperatures above 50°C
